Bhimrao Ambedkar: The Boy who Asked Why

The Story of a Boy Who Hated Discrimination

WHATSAPP

Bhimrao Ambedkar suffered a lot of discrimination as a young child and this stayed with him forever. He believed that all people deserved respect and dignity. India though was deeply entrenched in the caste system, where people discriminated against people from lower castes. This was because caste was a pyramid-like structure with some labeled high and some low. Ambedkar found the whole system unfair.

The Boy Who Asked Why is about his childhood and the events that prompted him to fight against the caste system and ensure that all Indians were constitutionally entitled to the rights of equality, justice, and liberty. Satwik Gade's illustrations add even more impact to make this a powerful book.
