Life on a farm can look placid and calm. But It's not. It is an enterprise, in which nature and man work together. Nature provides winds, seeds, soil and man's implements, technique and skill work together to make the farm. Farms provide much of the food city dwellers need but know so little about.
Rothman stuns as always in deconstructing the farm and leaving the reader feeling full and happy.
